In April 1891, Jane Partridge, aged 17, was a schoolteacher living with her parents at the Royal Oak.
Jane was born at Hardington on 26 March 1874, the daughter of Joseph and Louisa Partridge.
On 3 July 1900, Jane married Theophilus White at Hardington. In March 1901, they lived at Hardington Marsh, where Theophilus was a ‘Farmer grazier’. Then or soon after, they occupied Marsh Dairy Farm, which they bought in the sale of 1920.
On 16 June 1937, she witnessed the will of George White.
Jane died on 14 February 1944, aged 69. Theo died on 7 October 1949, aged 80, leaving an estate with a net value of £16,619-9s-6d.
Theophilus and Jane had four children: Winifred Dorothy, Gladys Olive, Aubrey Ernest and Dulcie Vera Theodora.
